Thursday is the new Wednesday, did you know? According to the new bylaw, you might have heard about this one... Okay, to be honest, we are late with the post... But doesn't that make it more exciting?! I bet it does, so here we go, the long-awaited links:

Laser Origami
We've got lasers. We like lasers. What's really cool is how _these_ guys bend lasers to their will to do 3D fabrication. Kudos - very impressive!
Building An Active RFID People / Asset Tracking System With Mesh Networking
RFID tracking system using mesh networking! Lost keys and people, tag, you're it! Never get lost again.
Unstable Matter: A Giant Moving Surface Containing Thousands of Steel Ball Bearings
A clever take on a rain stick, and really fascinating to look at. I wonder how some magnets underneath would alter the movement...
A DIY digital camera made with cardboard and an Arduino
DIY craft paper camera using Arduino UNO, are a lithium battery pack, a Snootlab SD card Arduino shield, and a JPEG color camera TTL interface. Rrrreally interested to see how that's made, hopefully the makers will release the code and more details soon.
100 LASERCUT JEWELRY DESIGNERS
This is one MEGA link to see what's out there in the world of lasercut jewellery and hunt for ideas, materials and shapes.

That is all for now, stay tuned, stay warm, stay un-snowed on, or the opposite if you prefer, and we'll see you next week.

Project Monday: Gilroy's ErgoGP

Since we've been slacking for awhile on our Project Monday, I thought I'd share a project I've been working on the past couple of weeks. Being the office code monkey, I spend a lot of time in front of a keyboard. This has led to a fair amount of discomfort and sparked a quest for […]

Review a Beetlebot, Other Tidbits

Whelp, it's just been one of those weeks.  When the Calgary Stampede gets into full swing, things get a bit crazy. Fireworks, pancake breakfasts and BBQ lunches, cowboy hats, questionable choice in music ("We got both kinds - country AND western!"), and all-around crazy people. So it's fairly safe to say that we don't have […]

Closed for Easter Weekend, Special Deal

We're coming up on that magical time of year when rabbits tend to poop chocolate eggs. Which, quite frankly, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Couple that with April 1st, where the object is to mess with people, and this sure makes for a bizarre month. But hey - when a strange, chocolaty rodent is enough […]
