Some of you may have found the LightStorm Pummers that Mark Tilden has made using some neat looking plastics. We've built our own variation of the circuit, which is a dark-activated, quad-bicore pseudo-random chaos generated, dual pummer circuit.

Last year I helped Mrs. Corbett's Grade 5 class build robots and we had a blast (see a review here http://www.aasland.com/hcrd.html). Well, this year we are doing it again. We're building SYMETS with 10 year olds ..lots-o-fun ! The web page (in-progress) is already up at http://www.mairs.org/hcrd2k2.html . May issue of Discover Magazine
Mr. Tilden informs me that his experiments with 40 B.I.O.Bugs in the desert of Whitesands, New Mexico will be detailed in the May issue of Discover Magazine. I've seen some of his personal pics of the experiment, and it is indeed impressive photography. Keep an eye out for this issue!
