The following instructions detail how to build a Solar Power Smart Head version 3. The Head will seek light and when it finds the brightest source it will go into a low current standby mode. This version also comes with an low power FLED circuit to indicate when the head is active.

It is being managed at arm's-length by Eric Seale, of "BEAM from the Ground Up", with contributions from ourselves at Solarbotics, Wilf Rigter, Bruce Robinson, and many, many others.
Besides being a repository of BEAM knowledge, Solarbotics.net is also providing free web hosting to people for their BEAM-related projects, with no banner advertising, no pop-ups, pop-unders, SPAM lists, or any other obtrusive advertising.
