Wired.com recently posted a very interesting comparison between the Wowwee/Hasbro BIO-Bugs, and the Sony Aibo. Interesting comparison! For those wanting more information, there's the BIO-Bug vivisection page at Solarbotics.net.
Ho Ho Ho! The 25th is fast approaching and we thought what better way to celebrate the season then with our families! (No, not the robotic ones, our real-living-breathing-warm- blooded ones!)
Solarbotics will officially be closed from December 23 to December 27, 2005. We will be back in the office for December 28 when we will work off the Christmas Turkey and process all orders accumulated over the holidays. On the 29th and the 30th we will be working like mad to get inventory done. Therefore only courier orders (1-2 business day delivery service) will be processed on December 29 & 30. If you have an order which is an emergency or you really would like it shipped on those days, call our toll free line (1-866-276-2687) and someone will help you. For everyone else we thank you for your patience and understanding as we count hundreds upon thousands of itty bitty electronic pieces!
Solarbotics will also be closed on January 2nd in lieu of New Year's Day but it will be business as usual for January 3rd, 2006.
Wishing you all a warm and bright Holiday Season and a New Year filled with robots!

We've been playing with the Pick and Place machine, and thought about new projects. This one, besides just being plain handy, offered us a simple project to start adding surface-mount parts to! The Ardweeny is proving to be a popular way to make a breadboard-friendly Arduino-clone, but after the prototyping is done, you still have […]
