Sherline Closing Sale

February 28, 2011

Because we use their great products while making robots, we've also carried Sherline products almost since we started Solarbotics. But the time has come to start cutting things that aren't core to our business, and the Sherline machine tools definitely take valuable time from open-source hardware hacking, lasering, and pick'n'placing.

For 1 week only, we're offering 20% off the stock we have on hand. Sorry, special orders don't apply to this deal!

We have a stack of stuff we'll be returning to Sherline later this week, but we'd rather give you first shot at a healthy discount before we have to pay for shipping it back.

Download and review the spreadsheet (both tabs), and drop us a line to let us know what you're interested in. We'll generate a full quote with shipping figured out.

That's right, rejoice about that thing that we do practically every day. And the way we celebrate it, go figure, […]

BEP Application: Pummer

The following instructions detail how to build a simple pummer using a BC2 (Bicore) BEP (Bicore Experimenter PCB). A pummer is a solar powered self activating LED flasher. The difference between a pummer and a BLFNAR (blinky light for no apparent reason) is that a pummer has a soft turn off, which means that it turns on fast, but slowly fades away.
