ScoutWalker III Workshop

April 29, 2005

Space is Limited! RSVP as soon as possible! -- Solarbotics will be hosting another workshop to get you prepared for this
year's annual Western Canadian Robot Games.
The main attraction will be our almost-in-production ScoutWalker III Robot.
The ScoutWalker III is an agile two-motor walking BEAM robot platform designed to take advantage of
microprocessor-based brainboards, much like our award-winning Sumovore!

The workshop will be taking place at Solarbotics' new HQ <map>
and we need at least 10 people to showup. Doors will open at 5:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2005 and we will be kicking
everyone out at midnight, bot finished or not. Sorry! We have to get up early to prepare for the games.
We ask that you BYOT (Bring your own tools) if you can, so that you can BYOB
(Build your own bot)

We are providing the ScoutWalker III at an introductory rate of $99, but you
don't necessarily have to build one. You may build any type of robot you wish,
and if you want to build another Solarbotics Kit, we will offer you a credit for 10%
off.

Ardweeny & Strandbeest Make An Exce...

Well friend, why not build a Strandbeest with an Ardweeny for a brain? For those few who aren't familiar with a Strandbeest (or don't know it by name), they are the […]

More PICAXE Goodness

But this time they're of the 28-pin variety. (Don't worry,  the 28X1's haven't gone the way […]

Wednesday Cool Links: They're Back!

Yikes. It seems like we've been sorely neglecting our Wednesday Cool Link duties over the past month. Let's fix that, shall we? Here's our latest selection of neat-o internet thingers. Tom Sachs' Firearm... Things Yana pointed out this interesting mixed media artwork gunwork firearmwork thingwork. It's not actually functional, but it's a neat example of […]
