Sausage Roll for Sale!

Dave Hrynkiw
March 31, 2006

Here at Solarbotics, we like to eat well. So, unfortunately after leaving a forgotten sausage roll in the microwave for several days we must search for a means of disposal and/or obvious prank to pull. Our immediate reaction was to place the rather stale pastry in the mouth of our office chimp, Herb. But now the question begs, where to next? We toyed with idea of placing it back in the freezer, to be taken and again reheated by an unsuspecting subject. However, it seems a superior option to hand it off to one of our customers...

So here it is, a LIMITED TIME OFFER! Here's your chance to get your hands on the sausage roll (complete with greasy napkin!) of Dave Hrynkiw, BEAM expert, Solarbotics President, and food lover. Until end of day Monday (April 3rd), send a monetary offer to sales@solarbotics.com to be entered in a silent auction bid.

The highest bid received by email will also be notified by email of their victory and payment/shipping will be arranged accordingly.

LATE BREAKING UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to recent anti bio-terrorism movements we will not be able to actually ship said delicacy extraordinaire (or Herb!!). But don't fret! It may seem like an insignificant compensation, but we'll send a K TB Turbot to ease the pain.

(On a side note, all proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer research and the winner of the silent auction will actually be awarded one K TB Turbot kit)

Small batteries!

We've come across a variety of small batteries that are splendid for the small types of robots we're used to building! A variety of 3.6V and 4.8V packs ranging from 50mA to 300mA capacity means we have something ideal for almost any battery-powered BEAM bot. Check them out in the "New Items" link under "Products", […]

Strange set of Atmel '328 ICs...

Unlike Sparkfun, who actually manage to find fake Atmel ICs, we just get strange batches. The Atmel ATMega328 is the power behind the Arduino/Freeduino/*duino, and we have to set up a programming system to burn the venerable Arduino Bootloader into these chips. We normally use an AVR STK500 in HVSP (high voltage serial programming) mode, […]

GM15 tiny gear motors

We've had these for sale for a week now, and I haven't posted any news about them yet? What am I thinking? Ah, we were getting ready for the WCRG... never mind! Anyways, we've got these cool 6mm diameter 25:1 planetary gear motors now. They're smaller than our standard RPM2 pager motors! We've built a […]
