Please Creality, stop the naming spaghetti! Well... ok, maybe one more time. This is a pretty exceptional iteration of the Ender series of printers.

Take any of the traditional Ender-3 series, merge it with K1-series hardware, and you get the Ender-3 V3 KE (K-series Ender? We think so!). Don't think the KE can run in the same circles as the K1's - it's good, but not quite that good. It's definitely heads and shoulders above its Ender-3 brethren, and nicely bridges the two technologies.

So what makes this stand out from any previous Ender-3 iteration?

  • K1-series motherboard
  • USB thumb-drive file transfers (no more SD cards)
  • Built-in Wifi capability
  • Linear Slide X-axis. No more back'n'forth rollers!
  • Sprite Direct-Drive Bi-metal filament extrusion
  • DUAL part-cooling fans. This, with the direct-drive make for a considerably LARGE head, but it still sure moves fast!
  • 300°C 60W ceramic hot-end heater
  • CR-Touch high-speed grid Bed-Leveling. No more double-tapping; just quick tap/move/tap actions!
  • Quick Assembly - 6 frame screws, 3 screen screws and you're almost done!
  • 20 minute Benchy test prints! Compare that to the 1.25hr the older Ender printers need!

It still features the same footprint - 220x220x240mm build volume in an open frame, so it looks and feels like a regular Ender-3 printer. Turn it on, load a file, and you'll then notice how different it is. Quick, quick, QUICK! You do lose the Ender-3 style tool-bin out of the bed, but I think you'll agree that it's a very good trade-off for the huge gain in performance you'll receive. As it's using the K1 style motherboard, that means you are only a few steps away from being able to add your own flavour of Klipper/Mainsail!
