This tiny module can control two motors, 1 A peak each, and you can daisy-chain multiple units to control up to 62 motors with a single serial line.
Traditionally, you need at least 2 I/O lines to control a motor (enable / direction, or OutputA / OutputB), which would mean you'd have to use 4 lines to control 2 motors. With this unit, a single line controls 2 motors, leaving 3 for ordering pizza!*
This module lets you control 2 motors up to 1A each with the replaceable 754410 motor controller, or you can dual-up the channels to drive a single motor at 2A.
You can independently set each motor to go forward or backward at any of 127 speeds, coast, and brake. The dual serial motor controller is compatible with the Pololu serial servo or motor controllers, so you can control an almost unlimited number of motors and servos with one serial line.
