16.000MHz. That's pretty darn precise. And exactly the value needed to run an ATmega8/168/328 microcontroller at Arduino-compatible frequency!

Description [Hide]

Building your own Arduino, or just looking for a convenient DIP-style package crystal? Crystals usually come in tiny SMD packages, but this is a handy-size can for breadboard/custom protoboard applications.

(Note that generally speaking, it's not a great idea to have the crystal for a microcontroller too far away from the proper XTAL pins)

Here's a link for some much needed capacitors to add to each leg (then to GND)

Specifications

  • Frequency: 16MHz
  • Package / Case: HC49/US
  • Frequency Tolerance: ±50ppm
  • Mounting Type: Through Hole
