Possible Canada Post Service Disruptions

June 29, 2016

Labour negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are currently taking place. In the event that an agreement between the two parties cannot be reached, customers could see a disruption to all Canada Post services as early as July 2, 2016. In the event of a labour disruption, Canada Post will not operate. Mail and parcels will not be delivered, and no new items will be accepted.
We are hoping that these issues are resolved in time, but have made some plans for our customers in the event that we see a loss of our Canada Post shipping options for a brief time. Currently our free shipping for orders over $99.00 goes out via Canada Post. We will be switching this service to Purolator Ground for Canada and UPS Ground for the United States. For orders under $99.00, Canada Post will not be an available option for shipping. Customers can choose between Express and Ground options for Purolator within Canada or UPS for United States and International shipments. Orders under $30.00, which are usually subject to a handling fee of $5.00, will see the handling fee waived in an attempt to offset the higher shipping costs.
We understand that this could be an inconvenience for our customers, and we do apologize for the temporary changes to your shipping options. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

The difference between a pummer and a BLFNAR (blinky light for no apparent reason) is that a pummer has a soft turn off, which means that it turns on fast, but slowly fades away.

What can you do with a GM15?

...oh, just save the Republic! Just got this note in from Rob Meyer, who is using 3 of our GM15 pager gearmotors to drive his 1/18 scale R2-D2. Given that the real R2-D2 measures 108cm tall, that makes this cute cousin only 6cm (2.36") tall! There's a GM15 for each of the drive wheels, and […]
