After over 25 years in the same location, it’s time to move on. Since having acquired ActiveTech last June, Solarbotics come to the conclusion we’ll be much better to merging operations under one roof. We’ll drop some product lines, but add a bunch of new ones at that time. Expect a store packed to the rafters with electronic parts and solutions!
Until then, we've expanded on our ActiveTech flyer sale and added select items at least 25% off. Kits, cables, equipment - there's a solid variety at "I don't want to transport this" sale prices.
We will reopen ActiveTech retail operations May 1st at the temporary showroom in the Solarbotics warehouse, which is only 5 minutes away:

Bio-Bugs Press Release
NEW YORK - February 12, 2001 - The WowWee Toy division of Hasbro, Inc. today introduced the first toy line to incorporate advanced "nervous network" technology. New B.I.O. Bugs (Bio-mechanical Integrated Organisms), the hit of last month's Hong Kong Toy Fair, are robotic bugs that can autonomously act by themselves, come and go as they please, identify friend or foe and have the ability to avoid or climb over obstacles in their path.
Interesting Mini-sumo build
This mini-sumo design by Jeremy Bloyd-Peshkin features our wheels, and one of our favourite building materials, Sintra. We can't laser-cut sintra (PVC=bad stuff when burned), but milling it works well, as this builder shows. The asymmetric motor layout works, as proven by this contest-winning design (scroll to the bottom of the page).
