Well folks, the BEAM Anniversary sale has officially come and gone. So many of you jumped on those awesome deals that we extended them an extra four days before taking them down. Anyways, we have tons of great stuff to get through, so let's plow through starting with the new stock we've brought in over the past two weeks:

In other news, we're stretching our tentacles out further into the world of the interwebs. The past few weeks we've set up both a Flickr and Facebook account. We're particularly interested about the former - Dave started off by adding some old BEAM pics we dusted off from the neglected corners of the server, 
and we're hoping to expand on that plus other content in the next little while. Stay tuned!
Lastly we want to welcome Roboteknia aboard as our newest distributor. Make sure to check them out if you're looking at getting some neat robotics tech in Mexico!

...DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE OVEN. You'll burn the cookies while eating the dough! Just got a new LOUD oven timer to make sure somebody is standing over the PCBs when the timer is about up. Pick and place machines tend to drown out gentle oven beeps!
Interesting stuff at the Exploratorium
Not exactly relevant to BEAM, but an interesting distraction: Here's some interesting media from the San Francisco Exploratorium. Notable media to watch is their "Iron Science Teacher" competition (familiar with "The Iron Chef? Same idea...), and their hosting of Robot Sumo Wrestling.
The S.A.F.E.!
The Solarbotics Arduino / Freeduino Enclosure - That's what it is, and that's what it does! We love our laser, and part of the job is making things that make our job easier. We're finding enclosing our Arduino projects makes them... well, more survivable. Here's our first release of the S.A.F.E., with more variations coming!
