New Solarcell, the SCC2433a

In our continuing quest to find the successor to the Sunceram throne, we invite you to welcome the SCC2433a solarcell! It's the little brother to the SCC3733, with similar polycrystalline & epoxy construction.

It's quite the power-house in direct sunlight, but be warned - the cell arrangment is skewed in favour of current generation, not voltage. It has slightly lower voltage generation capability than the venerable SC2433, and may require you to suitably adjust your solarengine design.

It's been a bit long in the coming, but it's finally here: The Sumovore PICAXE Brainboard for the Solarbotics Sumovore! One of the biggest tripping points we see from going from the pure digital/analog  realm of BEAM to microcontrollers is learning the ins-and-outs of microcontrollers.
