The Paris Flyer CarouSol Kit is the latest product in our line of solar-powered kinetic desk toys. Borrowing design elements from the golden age of air travel , we've added our unique solar-electronics flair to create self-powered dynamic mobiles.

Features

Designed as either a desk-mounted device, the Paris Flyer features wonderful visual detail when stationary. The periodic motion catches the eye, separating it from any standard mobile. The brass pivot rests on a low-friction metal disk for best motion.

The Paris Flyer uses our tried-and-proven SolarEngine technology that allows the use of solar energy in much lower levels than otherwise possible. Under standard office-level illumination, the hanging mobile version activates approximately every 4 minutes. In direct sunlight, activation is every 5~10 seconds, resulting in continuous motion from the mobile.

As a kit, the builder has an enjoyable experience assembling a precision-cut wood model, with the additional challenge of soldering the SolarEngine together. Being wood, it readily accepts almost any finishing method from lacquer to marker.

As with all Solarbotics' kits, it comes with the "No Fear" warranty. We guarantee the successful completion of your project, regardless of issue.
