New Product Friday: Switches

Solar botics
October 26, 2012

Ok, switches everywhere! Most importantly, switching from Friday to Saturday is scheduled exactly at 12.00pm tonight, hopefully it happens on time. Because it was a long five days, and another seven before that, and then another seven. Should I continue? I think we all deserve a little bit of time titled Saturday and Sunday. Also, Saturdays are just by definition are better than Fridays. At least because they start with S, just like switches. You get the idea, right?

3A SPDT Slide Switch
$3.00
This switch is the bigger brother of the popular SWT1 featured on our Freeduino! Each side has a label of 1 or 2 for mode selection or just use is as a simple ON/OFF switch. Need to handle more current through your power switch? These fit the same hole pattern as the SWT1 but are rated for 3A!
2.1mm Barrel Jack with integrated Slide Switch
$3.00
Looking to provide lots of power to your Freeduino, Multipack, or other circuit with a 2.1mm barrel jack footprint? Want to save on PCB space or just don't have room for a larger switch that can handle more power? The SWT15 is right up your alley, having a 2.1mm barrel jack plus a 3A power switch built into one unit, it solves a lot of design problems.
2.1mm Barrel Jack with Integrated Rocker Switch
$3.00
Looking to provide lots of power to your Freeduino, Multipack, or other circuit with a 2.1mm barrel jack footprint? Want to save on PCB space or just don't have room for a larger switch that can handle more power? The SWT15 is right up your alley, having a 2.1mm barrel jack plus a 2.5A-rated power switch built into one unit, it solves a lot of design problems. If you want a bit higher current rating, check out our SWT14, with similar functionality!
5A SPDT Slide Switch
$3.00
The SWT16 now takes the cake as the reigning champion over all Solarbotics switches! Though it may look small and incompetent, this switch packs a wallup! Rated for 5 Amps worth of roundhouse kicks, this switch will give even Chuck Norris a run for his money.
12mm Momentary Push Button
$0.50
Thumb buttons, thumb buttons, we have thumb buttons! These buttons are a nice macro size, but small and low-profile enough to plug into a prototyping PCB or breadboard. Their fast action is awesome for DIY buttons pads.

Well, hopefully everyone completes the transition from Friday to Saturday successfully, and no one gets stuck in chronometric limbo, 'cuz that would just suck. Those poor people would be transferred right into the Monday morning with their popcorn dishes, in their pajamas and one sock, and maybe a cat stuck to their lap. God forbid.
