January 10, 2014

Today is Friday. Lets celebrate by using only green towels and omitting the letter R. Or just seeing what new stuff we got:

Arduino Yun
$71.95
Take a wireless router-on-a-chip, and stick an Arduino Leonardo to it - that's the new Arduino YUN!
Evil Mad Science The Three Fives Kit
$35.00
Take a venerable 555 IC, stick it through a transmorgrifier process, and then you have this clever 555 kit, with the internals broken down to individual components.

If you are not into celebrating celebrations, cease these celebratory celebrations immediately! Eat some celery.

Spring this year seems to be short on sunshine. To compensate for that, today's post is full of shiny things. And butterflies. Butterflies are always a good addition. BEP Application: Pummer

The following instructions detail how to build a simple pummer using a BC2 (Bicore) BEP (Bicore Experimenter PCB). A pummer is a solar powered self activating LED flasher. The difference between a pummer and a BLFNAR (blinky light for no apparent reason) is that a pummer has a soft turn off, which means that it turns on fast, but slowly fades away.
