Here's a collection of pictures and videos I shot on my trip to RoboMaxx II in Grants Pass, Oregon. I had a good time. Come and see what I saw!
In my recent wanderings in the world of overly-cheerful financial advise, I stumbled upon this budgeting theory that says that to feel comfortable about your moneys, or lack thereof, you gotta be living on your last month's earnings. Let's leave out the question of how anyone would pull it off, and just say that I applied this theory to writing these product posts, so there's a bit of a buffer in case we don't have the time to create something on short notice. (In a hypnotizing voice) You beliiiieeeeve meeeeee. But don’t you fall asleep just yet, there's lots of cool stuff:

Financial wisdom aside, however you try to relieve yourself from the pressure and need to come up with stuff on the fly, knowing how to improvise is always a good skill to have. And although we try to pad our way to avoid the unexpected (read - surprises), it still comes up (kinda like this product post?!). Aaaand now let's plan what we'll talk about next time…

Yeah, you got it: at the Bay Area Maker Faire, on May 17 and 18, 2014. With some exciting new stuff. It requires sun, balls and mice. And no, it is not a solar-powered feline. It is much better. (Note: mice mention was only for confusion purposes, I confess). In any case, whatever it is, […]
Solarbotics will be back at the Seattle Robothon September 24 and 25, hosting a workshop building our Sumovore mini-sumo robot kit, and a beta kit - the Herbie Photovore! We had a lot of fun doing it last year, and many builders went on to compete the next day in the competition. And for the […]
Yup, the Solarbotics.NET server we sponsor for the BEAM community is now online, offering more storage, RAM, speed, and open-source software to make your .net experience... better! (Well, we think so). No teething pains to report yet, although I'm sure we'll see some come up shortly. Stay tuned for more functionality as work continues...
