Make Magazine! Servo Magazine!

Woot! (Ok, I know it's spelt W007)

The Sumovore is featured in volume 4 of Make Magazine in their suggested shopping list! For those of you who don't know about this killer quarterly publication from the fine folks at O'Reilly & Associates, you have to check it out. Makezine is ideal for all you DIY people out there. (Don't know what DIY means? Do It Yourself!)

Also this month in the mail is the Matrix comparison of the Sumovore, the Mark III and the Parallax Minisumo in this month's Servo Magazine. We hate to brag (wrong - we do!), but the Sumovore practically walks away with the comparison! Again, for those of you unfamiliar with Servo Magazine, it's brought to you by the same fine folk who publish "Nuts and Volts". With a pedigree like that, you know it's a well-presented magazine.

Beyond that, I've found some time to websurf...just a bit! A GM15 linefollower? Neat!(Update!:)He's just posted a video of it going ~40cm/s (although he's […]

StrongBad victorious again!

Our trip to RoboMaxx was great fun, and StrongBad did it again, winning first place in the Advanced Mini-Sumo competition! The GM6 gear motors did their job, rarely failing to give StrongBad the ability to power opponents out of the ring. We also entered our Sumovore Sumo robot kit (officially available in a day or […]

Introducting the CMDR Shield for Arduino

Last week we beefed up the Ardweeny with the Multipack, and this week we're turning out attention to the Arduino. We've just released the CMDR (Compact Motor Driver) Shield, which lets you bi-directionally drive two gear motors or a single stepper motor, read 6 analog sensors, and control up to 8 servos all at the […]
