When winter settles in around these parts, daylight doesn't seem to last too long. So like moths we tend to get excited about the new bright and shiny toys we bring in. Today we have Super Bright LEDs - they're the nifty little units we put in the HexPummer Lantern to create that extra pulse of brilliant light. Right now we have two flavours available, white and blue. They come in the same sized package as our other LEDs, measuring around 35 x 5 x 5mm, but are a step up from our other Ultra Brights. BEP Application: Pummer
The following instructions detail how to build a simple pummer using a BC2 (Bicore) BEP (Bicore Experimenter PCB). A pummer is a solar powered self activating LED flasher. The difference between a pummer and a BLFNAR (blinky light for no apparent reason) is that a pummer has a soft turn off, which means that it turns on fast, but slowly fades away.
