Today we have two superstars - the Kossel Pro 3D Printer and the SketchBoard. Both are relatively new add-ons to the Solarbotics website.

Initially created as a Kickstarter project and designed around the OpenBeam aluminum extrusion system, Kossel Pro is now available for purchase. It comes with a spool of 1.75mm PLA filament (random color) and a laser cut spool holder, as well as free shipping to Canada & the US. Scroll below to see some of the new specialty filament too.

The Solarbotics Sketchboard is a open-and-use device just like the Arduino Uno, but manufactured by Solarbotics and incorporating the additional features of the Freeduino.

Arduino Uno and Neeeew York City!

We're back from the Open Source Hardware Summit and the Maker Faire! Did lots; learned lots; got lots of touristy things done too. One of the main highlights was meeting and listening to talks by three of the principle members of the Arduino team.  They took pity on English-speakers, and named the new revision the […]

Everything's Under Control. Situation No...

You might be wondering what the heck happened with our site this morning. Our response would be, as the one and only Han Solo once said, "Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?" This morning we […]

Cool project

Neil Sandstrom from the BEAM mailing list recently posted a notice about his "ShokHead" circuit built from our tutorial. What makes this project a bit different is that he mounted it on a VPM motor, so it's all self-contained. Here's what he says about it: Just finished!!! Check it out it is really small!! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beam/files/Psyclesam/ […]
