Winter is not quite here yet. But close. It’s the second day of the last day of summer in 2013 today, according to the calendar at least. So lets prepare to that early by making sure all the new products are looked at. Now, how that makes sense? I am not sure. This was just to get your attention.

Oh, and one more thing, fellow civilians, or non-fellow civilians from other places. On Monday August 5th we are celebrating something plainly called Civic Holiday. Apparently all the other holidays are therefore deemed non-civic, except for this one. For that reason Solarbotics will be closed, and all the emails, phone messages and orders will receive all the due attention they need the next day.

BEP Application: Turbot
The Turbot is a member of the Scophthalmidae family of flatfish and is almost completely circular. Turbot is often found partially buried in the seabed in sand, gravel, rocks and sediment. Its fat content varies, but it usually contains roughly 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per 100g fillet. Barring advances in genetic engineering, we will not be building that kind of Turbot. However, this kind of Turbot can be built with a soldering iron.
New Pogo Push Probes in stock
I can't imagine why, but some people want to use these push pogo pins for other uses than robot appendages. Or battery contacts. Apparently they're really good for something called "JTAG applications" too, but I'll leave that up to you to decide. Scroll down to see them listed in the "New Items" column.
