Courier Shipping Services Broken

April 12, 2019

Purolator is one of our more popular couriers, and they've recently rolled out an update that we thought wasn't going to affect our website.

Guess what? Why yes; yes it has. And on a Friday afternoon, we are unable to get anybody on their end to help us pin down the error location. That's not their fault that they want to go home for the weekend, but it does leave our IT crew in a bit of a quandary how to fix this in the meanwhile. It looks like we may be unable to offer courier shipping until Monday.

If you desire courier shipping, please select a standard method, notify us to this effect in the comments section, and we'll try to get figure out the shipping quote ASAP, contact you, and get it processed out with Monday's orders.

Sincerest apologies,

The Solarbotics IT team.

Circuit: Lightstorm

Some of you may have found the LightStorm Pummers that Mark Tilden has made using some neat looking plastics. We've built our own variation of the circuit, which is a dark-activated, quad-bicore pseudo-random chaos generated, dual pummer circuit.

Circuit: Herbie by Randy Sargent

Although not a true BEAM robot, this simple schematic by Randy Sargent is small, simple, slick, and effective. My own version uses a pair of pager motors and three cells from a 9V rechargeable battery. Hard to get any simpler than this device!
