We missed last week's Cool Links, so we'll empty our backlog and throw a few extras your way.

1-Bit Symphony
This whole album is chiptunes all done on a microcontroller and placed in a CD case. The album/cover art is actually what makes the music.
Ted Talk - Massimo Banzi: How Arduino is open-sourcing imagination
Massimo gives a TED Talk about Arduino. Not sure what the TED conference is about? Get ready to blow a few hours watching some really amazing talks from the top people in their fields!
Wooden Circuit Boards
Linked from our friends at Oomlout is this cool "Wooden circuit boards" idea. Ok, not entirely wooden - just more like a wooden breadboard/clampy thing. Neat idea.
StippleGen
The geek-sensai group over at EMSL have come up with a cool stipple plugin for use with the Eggbot. Looks like it will have some applications to, oh, I dunno... a LAAAASOR?!?
Swarm of Nano Quadrotors
We're pretty sure that this swarm of tiny quadrotors is the stuff science fiction is made of. Particularly how maneuverable the units are and how well they operate in formation. Make sure you check out the videos at the bottom of the page. (Hat tip to Tom from our Facebook wall for the heads-up!)
Robotic Grippers Based on Granular Jamming
This is an impressively simply solution to a complex process - Those crafty folks at Cornell have devised a way to make a surprisingly effective robotic hand/gripper out of a balloon and coffee grounds. Seriously.
Canadian Space Rover Projects Score a Win and a Loss
Canadian Robotics FTW...Oh, wait... Oh, ok!

That covers it - we'll catcha in a few more days.

Sure, it uses the same form factor (well, except for the breadboard-friendly mini version), but the Netduino uses the .NET micro framework. What's that mean? Well, you're using a hugely more capable microcontroller (8-bit vs 32 bit), with much more memory […]

More interesting links on the inter-web....

Browsing around, I found another link regarding Mark Tilden & WowWee. From the website "AllNerdReview.com" (if that doesn't describe a roboticist...) comes article about a their visit to the New York Toy Fair (ok, so my web-browsing is a bit old). Enjoy... http://www.allnerdreview.com/TOYFAIR05/TF13.htm
