Closed on Monday August 6th

That's it. We've had enough. The weather is just too darn nice outside. So nice, in fact, that we quit. That's right, when Monday rolls around no one is even going to bother coming into the office. You heard us - we'll be closed on Monday, August the 6th. Go ahead and email and leave phone messages and place orders. We won't even be here. We'll be out there, where it's nice and sunny and warm. Bam. That's it. We're done. No more Solarbotics.

...

Wait, what's that? You say that August the 6th is "Heritage Day"? Which happens to be a provincial holiday, no less? Uh, okay. In that case, we'll probably get our warm and sunny outdoor fix in the form of a long weekend. That's probably enough time off that we'll feel like un-quitting, so I guess we'll even be back to work on Tuesday. Have a good long temporary-quitting weekend, everyone!

Heat sinks, Screwdrivers and the Lessons...

You would think in these days it would be a simple task to source something you want to have made. After all, MAKE, the Internet and the world "getting smaller" would have you think that it'd be an easy task. Sometime it is, and sometimes it's like this! We've been to Hong Kong and China […]

Solarbotics Antweight

Adam Conus sent us a nice little message about his antweight combat robot The Fly.: Western Allied Robotics is kicking off another year of antweight combat events and I need new motors. (Because I'm very, very hard on them!) Still, they're cheap and light. Check out- http://home.comcast.net/~conusa/adam.htm to see the robot complete with solarbotics sticker!
