At the Expo!

Bad news, everyone - we don't have any new OR shiny things to show off today. That's because we've been busy packing up to attend the Calgary Comic Expo, which runs this weekend, from the 27th to the 29th. We have a booth set up and will be showing off some of our cool stuff, alongside the Western Canadian Robotics Society and Protospace (Calgary's hackerspace). What kind of stuff? Aside from a selection of kits, LilyPad and Arduino goodness, we're bringing a limited-edition Useless Box for the show as well as some nifty mini-lantern giveaways to go with anyone that comes by and makes a purchase. So if you're in the area, swing on by to say hello. And if you're not in the area, well, we hope you have a great (if not slightly less-awesome) weekend.

ESP-01 Programmer / Adapter Module Programming an ESP0-01 (or any other ESP8266 variant) can be a bit of a button-toggling dance even after you get it wired up correctly. Wot?!? New gear motors?

Hey, how about that! We've got some new gear motors to complement the popular Mini Metal Gear Motors (the GM11a, GM12a, GM13a, GM14a, GM18 and yes, even the mutant GM19). What's particularly new is that they have sealed cylindrical gearboxes! Same sort of gearing, but no funky rectangular shape - just a nice, sleek, clean […]
