Arduino Extravaganza

Hm, now there's something that'd be difficult to say five times fast. You should've seen me try to type it - it was atrocious.  But I digress - we have a big announcement to make. We've decided to bring our entire catalogue of Arduino/Freeduino products to Solarbotics. This covers the Boards Themselves, Parts Bundles, Shields, LilyPad, and Arduino Parts. While most of these categories are pretty bare (heck, there's nothing in Lilypad or Shields at the moment), we'll be constantly adding inventory to the site over the next few weeks. Right now you'll find that Microcontroller Boards is pretty full. Here's what we've just added:

Wow, that's a lot of stuff! And it's not all, either. The Freeduino Bundles we mentioned last week were such a hit that we've gone ahead and made two more. These ones are very similar, but feature the Arduino Duemalinove instead of our own Freeduino SB. You can get it in either the Basic Bundle or Ultimate Bundle. You can also check out the new Arduino/Freeduino Starter Bundles category, where we might bring more such bundles in the future. Are there any particular items you'd like to see us carry? Let us know!

"Wow", you must be thinking, "I wish I could be as awesome as those mighty-fine Solarbotics folks!" Well, now you can! We've just put up a Job section, where (lo and behold) we have two positions to fill. If you're located in or near Calgary, Alberta and want to join the crew, take a look and send off your resume. Better act quick, though!

And that pretty much wraps things up for another week. Remember to drop in again - we'll have another handful of Arduino items to show off in the next weekly post.

This plastic, more commonly known as ShapeLock, Friendly Plastic, Instamorph or Polymorph, is a biodegradable polyester with a low melting point. When solid, it has physical properties of a very tough, […]

Evil Mad Scientist Inventory... Welcome ...

Earlier in January we had a very interesting discussion with the chief geeks at Evil Mad Scientist Labs. They've been doing similarly-unique DIY as Solarbotics for a good long time, but they had now found themselves in the position of shuttering their operation to take some lead rolls with Bantam Tools. This meant moving from […]

New TINY Pogo Pin Probes

We had some requests for some really, really small Pogo Push Pin Probes (Hmmm...shoulda named them PPPPs...). Anyway, here's the PP8s and the PPH2, which are the "short" version of the PP8 and the necessary holder to mount them. If you have really tight spaces you need to test, these are the probes you'll need!

Cool Link Wednesday: Yana Edition

About a million years ago (and by that, we mean 3-4) we had a crazy French intern called Jerome. He had a squiggly beard and liked to exclaim "SUPER COOL!" whenever he saw anything that caught his attention. But because he came up with neat stuff like the BeetleBot, we let him stick around. Even […]
