The ICD to 10 Pin Adapter allows you to use an ICD programmer with the melabs adapters.
This is a handy little adapter, it instantly converts your Microchip ICD(2) into a desktop IC programming station. This adapter allows you to use microEngineering Labs programming adapters and LAB-X Experimenter Boards with the Microchip ICD and ICD2.
This adapter can be used to interface the ICD(2) to any ICSP socket or adapter.
Just plug the modular cable from the Microchip ICD(2) into the adapter and connect the 10-pin ribbon to the ICSP header found on a Programming Adapter or LAB-X board. Don't forget, some PICProto boards have the ICSP header, also, so by using this adapter you will be able to program these board in-circuit.
With the proper adapter, the ICD(2) can be used to program loose surface mount, PLCC, and DIP packages. The ICD(2) can be used with a LAB-X board to program a part in-circuit and step through the code for debugging.
