The LilyPad Simple Power is a board that lets you connect a battery (or other power source with a 2-pin JST connector) and switch it on or off, that's it!

This board simply gives you a male JST connector and slide switch to turn power on/off in your Lilypad and other e-textile projects. You can solder in your own surface mount (or through-hole) resistor in line with the output, or solder the jumper closed if you don't require a resistor. Also includes large pads on each side to attach conductive thread if desired.

The LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable!

Note: The LilyPad Simple Power is a design conceived by Felicia Williams of Boulder, Colorado. Also, a portion of this sale is given back to Dr. Leah Buechley for continued development and education of e-textiles.
