The LilyPad system is about integrating technology into textiles. This particular module is the breakout board for the popular XBee modules, which allow robust wireless communication. We're not going to tell you all about XBee here - check out the link above for that information!

LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable!

LilyPad XBee
was co-developed by Kate Hartman and Rob Faludi. It works with all the popular XBee module types but does not ship with a module. Please see the related items below.

Note: LilyPad XBee does not include the actual XBee module, and must be separately purchased.
