Description [Hide]

This ATtiny2313 is the successor to the 1200 and 2313 series, with more features. The "tiny" series are designed to address the requirements of small battery operated devices by offering low-power consumption and a lots of useful features.

2kB 128B 128B 0 - 10MHz 1.8 - 5.5V

The AVR series of microcontrollers are right up there with Microchip PIC products. Powerful, inexpensive, and programmable with some very good open source software (look up GCC), with a vibrant user community.

Get some of these low-power features:
Active Mode @ 1 MHz, 1.8V - 300 µA
32 kHz, 1.8V: - 20 µA (including oscillator)
Power-down Mode - 0.5 µA (at 1.8V)

Now that's using just a wee bit of power!

Features List:

  • 2K Bytes of In-System Self-Programmable Flash
  • 128 Bytes In-System Programmable EEPROM
  • 128 Bytes Internal SRAM
  • 3 Sleep Modes
  • 18 I/O pins
  • 2 external interrupts
  • One 8-bit timer/counter
  • One 16-bit timer/counter
  • 10-bit ADC, USI-Universal Serial Interface
  • debugWIRE for on-chip-debug
  • 1.8 - 5.5 V operation.

For a low-voltage applications, it's an excellent solution! With a 0.5 µA current draw at standby, your capacitor is probably leaking more current than this microcontroller!
