The PICAXE is a great chip, but the programming interface is a bit bizarre, using a 1/8" stereo jack. Last time we looked, breadboards didn't have stereo jacks... Good thing these adapters are available!
The PICAXE series of microcontrollers are very cool, but with the 1/8" stereo jack as a programming interface, it can be a bit difficult to use them on a breadboard by themselves. Well ,the PICAXE Breadboard programming adapter solves this simply and cheaply!
It's a tidy little breadboard with a jack for your programming cable, and it's laid out to plug into the same pin rail on your breadboard as your PICAXE-18/28/40 series microcontrollers. Plug in the PICAXE, jack in this module, add power, and you're programming!
