The Cerberus, it sounds really smart, and it really is! It provides a great solution for the age old problem of never having the right USB cable. This is a 3 in 1 USB cable that has a Mini-B, Micro-B and Standard-B on one side to a single USB-A male connector on the other.
What maniacs designed a USB-in / 3-header output USB cable? SparkFun did. Yeah, and they've even upgraded it to include an embedded USB hub so you can hook 3 different things to it and everybody will cooperate (just like they taught on Sesame Street).
One end of the Cerberus has the standard A-type connector, which you can plug into your computer or USB power supply. The other end features three common USB connectors: B, mini-B and micro-B.
The Cerberus can transfer both power and data just like any USB cable, and now data.
Note: The only compatibility problem that we've found with these cables is with Android devices. You can charge an Android device using the Cerberus but it won't identify to the computer unless you're running Linux.
