A simple flex sensor 4.5" in length. As the sensor is flexed, the resistance across the sensor increases. COOL! Add it to your clothes - ideal for interfacing with LilyPad Arduino!
The Phidget Force Sensor works with the Phidget 8/8/8, measuring up to 3 Kg of force.
The 1115 measures absolute gas pressure from 20 to 250 kPa (2.9 to 36.3 psi) with a maximum error of ±1.5%.
Patented technology by Spectra Symbol - they claim these sensors were used in the original Nintendo Power Glove. I love the Nintendo Power Glove. It's so bad!
These sensors are simple to set up and great for sensing pressure, but they aren't incredibly accurate. Use them to sense if it's being squeezed, but you may not want to use it as a scale.
